when no external cd or mp3 player is active, the built-in cd player has all the basic features needed for playing audio cds while using minimal
system resources. it can read track information used by the
windows cd player, and uses the same hot-keys as the external players.
large on screen display (osd) with semi-transparent background pops up when a hot-key is pressed, and indicates the volume level or song name and playback position. this interactive display also allows you to change the volume level, select the track or playback position, and pause or stop playback.
additionally, audio sliders can display time in the different parts of the world and important
